Nov. 16th, 2015 10:11 pm  Eddie Thawne ✪ First Impressions ✖ STATS age; 30 | height; 5'11" | hair; pale blond | eyes; pale blue | build; athletic ✖ FASHION: Formal is the name of the game. One can generally assume Eddie is wearing a well-fitted suit, dress shirt, and nice tie; alternately, he may be wearing a three-piece suit with vest , or just a vest, tie, and dress shirt. On casual days, he's usually found wearing a Henley under a leather jacket or button-up shirt. ✖ DEMEANOUR: Eddie smiles, almost constantly. His emotions are usually expressed through variations of his smiles. He's extremely expressive, and whenever he feels something, it shows immediately on his face. He's a terrible liar. His body language is all constant energy and semi-faux confidence. He licks his lips when he's nervous or stalling. Eddie is a bit like a walking ray of sunshine, with a lot of unintentional charm, and a hint of ditziness that hides how good he is at reading people. ✖ AURAL: Eddie's voice is a little husky and a little nasal, deeper than you'd expect from looking at him. He thinks before he speaks, so his words are decisive, rarely uncertain. YouTube Clip (mild spoilers) ✖ OLFACTORY: Being a fashionable guy who takes care of himself, Eddie tends to smell good. Clean, with a pretty neutral soap and shampoo scent; he goes light on a crisp, fresh-smelling aftershave, and uses unscented hair product and deodorant. ✖ MENTAL INFORMATION: Eddie has zero shields against telepathy or mind control and would be no more vulnerable or resistant to such things than any other average person. If someone were to look into his mind, they would find he's a lot less confident than he appears, and that he has some deeply ingrained struggles with self-worth. ✖ MAGICAL INFORMATION: There is nothing special about Eddie on a magical level. He's a normal human being. The only thing of note might be a sense of being time displaced, if characters are sensitive to such things - he made a major decision that seriously disrupted the timeline in his home universe. He has also been called a coincidence, anomaly, and told that he is the only one who is in control of his own destiny in his canon. (Major spoilers for The Flash S1 in linked clip.) ✪ Permissions ✖ BACKTAGGING: Always more than welcome. I like to try to finish threads as quickly as possible, but with real life, it's pretty rare that happens in one sitting! I do tend to lose track of things if they're more than a few weeks old, though, so I may ask to handwave the end of something if it's gone on too long. ✖ FOURTHWALLING: While it wouldn't catch Eddie too off-guard or upset him much, I am pretty selective about fourthwalling. Please contact me first via PM or on plurk to ask about it! ✖ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Eddie is pretty open to physical affection and tends to be very handsy himself - he often offers physical comfort in the form of squeezed shoulders, a hand on the back, or a pat on the arm - and is more than open to such gestures himself. Eddie is also a hugger when he's familiar with someone, and would welcome hugs from friends. If he's kissed out of nowhere or hugged by a stranger, he might be startled, but there would be no major negative reaction. ✖ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: As a police officer who also boxes, Eddie's had his fair share of violent encounters and fights. Feel free to have your character initiate a fight with him, and he'll stick up for himself. Please contact me if you'd like to do any damage that would incapacitate him or keep him bedridden for more than a few days. ✖ RELATIONSHIPS: While Eddie is still pretty hung up on his canon girlfriend, Iris, he is also very aware that he can't be with her. Aside from Iris, I am somewhat open to shipping, though, again, it would be a little complicated. Eddie is a natural flirt, but may not notice right away if he's being flirted with. I headcanon Eddie as being bisexual and pretty comfortable with it, and I would rather explore same-sex relationships with him. I am only interested in writing monogamous relationships with Eddie. Eddie will not get romantically or sexually involved with anyone under 20. |
